Cousin Jack Restoration

Janet and Andy saw me painting a narrowboats name on the cut and asked if I’d be up for restoring their paintwork that’s been ruined by rust. So the next day I headed down to Patch Bridge and found them on the towpath to see what I could do. To my surprise I managed to match it to the standard I was happy with. Andy already sanded out the rust and added the red to coat which was super helpful! It took around three hours to complete and was a challenge I wasn't expecting to face as I had to try and match the artists brush strokes (a lot of smudging with my fingers) and mix paint on the go to match the colours (mostly using my body as a palette). Andy’s been on the boat for 17yrs and is from Penryn, hence the Cornish influence.
