I Pray Thee, Mark Me: Existence

The Exists

A symbol used in Maths to express the existence of a variable.

I don't know you like I used to,
been trying to find my way back,
to a younger time of communion,
feels like my trust has relapsed.

I'm trying to remember all that you have done,
but if I’m honest, my vows feel weak.
This silence has been piercing;
do you still feel at home in me?

Now talk sense to my heart,
not my head,
'cause I've had enough of thinking;
I want to feel life’s gift again,
drink from the water I'm sinking in.
To know and not want,
I'm remembering
Your burden is light.

Lift my head
Let my heart follow

This poem is from a poetry collection of mine called ‘I Pray Thee, Mark Me’ where I take unusual, defunct or unused glyphs and punctuation as an anchoring theme for the words written in tempest seasons.
